How does counseling work?

Counseling is best done in collaboration with your therapist or counselor. We will start with getting to know one another and I will complete an assessment to better understand what your goals are and where you are starting. I then tailor your counseling to meet your needs. Over time, we will work together to create your plan and help you to make the changes that will put you on a path to a happier you.

How much time will it take?

I wish I could give you an exact time, but just as every person is unique, every counseling situation is unique too. Lasting change just takes time. I pledge to you that I will make every effort to help you reach your goals as quickly as possible. We can meet weekly or every other week, or even monthly. We can discuss for your specific situation.

How much does counseling cost?

I charge $140 per therapy session and each session is approximately 45 minutes long. If you wish to use your health insurance benefits, check with me about how we can accomplish this as I will have some options available soon. I currently am working towards accepting specific insurance plans, so check back or ask me about options when we talk.
